A deluxe train is making its way to Derby so you can hitch a ride to the seaside in style!
The Northern Belle, dubbed Britain’s most luxurious train, will stop in Derby on Friday, September 6, and take passengers to Welsh coastal town, Llandudno.
It will include the same seven plush 1930s-style Pullman carriages which were pulled by the famous Flying Scotsman locomotive when it toured the country earlier this summer.
Trainers and jeans won’t be accepted on board.
Managing director, Jeanette Snape, said: “Our train will not only take passengers to Conway and Llandudno in Wales.
“It will also transport them back to the golden days of rail travel, when the journey was as important as the destination.
Passengers will be greeted at Derby and Nottingham stations with a glass of champagne.
The train, which will have its own conjuror and musicians, will host a three-course brunch during its four-hour journey to Wales.
Upon arrival in Llandudno, guests will have four hours to explore the town or take a trip to Conwy Castle and the National Trust’s Bodnant Gardens.
And the way back sounds just as good, as passengers will experience a champagne reception followed by a slap-up five-course dinner cooked by on-board chef Matthew Green.
On the way back it will depart from Llandudno Junction Station at 5.30pm and will arrive back into Derby at 8.30pm.
