To celebrate National Burger Day, a Derby restaurant and bar has released a mammoth new food challenge.
The giant Dominator burger comes with eight meat patties covered in cheese and barbecue sauce and is only available at the Brooklyn Social, in Sadler Gate.
It has a “mountain of onion rings” on top of it, comes with fries and is one of the meatiest dishes in Derby.
Though it usually costs £20, if you finish it within 20 minutes, chips and all, you’ll get it for free and will be entered into the hall of fame.
The burger is only available until August 26 (this Sunday) and while stocks last, so you had better hurry if you want to give it a go.
Teigan Parker-Dewick, general manager at The Brooklyn Social, said: “We wanted to something big (literally) for National Burger Day on Thursday 23rd Aug. Rather than put on an offer or just tell people we do great burgers, we thought it would be interesting to do something different.
“There’s plenty of food challenges around the UK inspired by US food eating competitions & TV shows like “Man vs Food”, ours is really no different.
“Take one big stupid burger, give it a challenging time limit and see what happens! We hope they’ll be at least one person in Derby who can smash it!
“No one has completed it yet, but after a lot of interest on our Facebook when we announced it, the challengers are lining up to attempt to take it down.”
