Reading Time: 2 minutes

Following one of the coldest nights of the year, where temperatures were recorded dropping below -6, a group of Derbyshire ice climbers scaled a frozen Kinder Downfall!

Kinder Downfall is normally a 30 foot waterfall that flows off Kinder Scout, so when it froze overnight, several daring climbers attempted to scale it before it melted.

The photos were captured by Rod Fitzpatrick, who arrived on the day at 7:00am, an hour before the ice begun to melt.

Luckily of the 5 or 6 climbers who attempted the feat, nobody was injured. Check out the amazing photos below!
