Derbyshire has its first beach?!

Don’t fancy travelling for hours to your nearest seaside? Well good news! Derby’s market place has been transformed into a beach.

This special summer event is running from Friday the 26th of July and until the 1st of September. The ideal summer holiday activity!

As well as having a sandy beach, there is also going to be funfair rides, traditional seaside rock, candy floss, ice cream and walk on water balls for the more adventure amongst us.

The opening times, depending on the weather, are:

Monday to Friday – 11am to 7pm

Saturday – 11am to 8pm

Sunday – 11am to 6pm
