On one of the hottest days this year, a litter of kittens was found in a bin near Derby. The temperature had risen up to 31 degrees when these kittens were found wrapped up in a bag.
A representative from the RSPCA has said it’s likely this was done deliberately and that there was “no intention for them to be found”. Thank goodness they were found in time!
These cute little cats have been aptly named after waste management companies – Biff (after Biffa), Maggie and Fern (Magfern) and Stig (Stig of the Dump).
“The kittens are feeding well and will be ready to be re-homed as soon as they are old enough.”
These kittens will be available for adoption when they are 5 to 6 weeks old. They will need to be kept in their new homes until they are 8 weeks old.
There are a huge range of cats at Derby RSPCA looking for a home. This week’s “Star of the Week” is Marilyn.
